"True North is the internal compass that guides you successfully through life"--Bill George[1]

True North: Discover Your Authentic Leadership is a book written by Bill George, a former chairman and CEO of Medtronic and a Harvard Business School professor. The book, which was first published in 2007, offers insights and lessons on authentic leadership based on the experiences of over 125 successful leaders.According to George, authentic leaders lead with their hearts as well as their heads, and they have a strong sense of purpose and values that guide their decision making. He also emphasizes the importance of balancing work and personal life demands, as well as developing strong relationships with stakeholders. George provides practical advice and examples of how to develop and maintain an authentic leadership style through a series of interviews with leaders from various industries.

True North has received widespread acclaim for its insights into authentic leadership, and it has established itself as a seminal work on the subject. The book is aimed at business leaders, managers, and leadership students, and it provides a road map for developing the qualities required for effective and meaningful leadership.

No one is born with a silver spoon in their mouth or the title of a leader. You can't imagine what the leaders around you have gone through to get to where they are. The struggles, sleepless nights, and extraordinary sacrifices, as well as the pursuit of change, provided them with the responsibility to assist the first class. True leaders are motivated by a desire to comprehend their own life experiences. It allows people to recognize who they are and helps them maintain their sense of direction. Many of them are inspired by personal experiences such as watching a loved one discover her illness late in life, losing a person or your parents, or recalling a traumatic event caused by someone else but causing pain and panic attacks.

Leaders frequently lose their way due to reckless decisions and disorganized thoughts, some of which are the result of other people influencing them to take different paths and create a new world to explore. Some were caused by missed opportunities, while others were offered late, prompting leaders to rethink and re-evaluate themselves. Many leaders lose themselves as they gain more expertise in leadership. They lost their way and lost sight of their true north, arriving at the end of a tunnel and unable to proceed. What exactly causes these people to become lost in the north? What causes someone to stop traveling in the direction of their true north after making a different decision?

People decide to give up and live absurd lives for the sake of amusement. Some people lost their zeal after that. Life is not always fair. However, pain and suffering, according to this book, will help you see and appreciate everything around you. The scars and wounds left by rigorous training. To be the best version of a leader, we must consider the well-being of all. We must not lose sight of the idea of serving others.Self-awareness has the potential to help you build a strong relationship. For example, if someone is self-aware, you can interact with them in a more authentic manner. This is because those who are at ease with themselves are more open and transparent than what others have established. The ability to recognize your own flaws, flaws, and weaknesses is another positive trait for establishing a much stronger version of closeness that no one can easily destroy.

Once you've established your values and principles, you've established your ethical boundaries to ensure that they are applied in the persona aspect of a human being. Even after all the temptations, pressures, and guidance you have instilled in your mind, body, and soul to be morally upright, you must consider your limitations. The set of principles will be a tool to be used as an instrument to conquer a world full of misconceptions. Principles also allow people to find solutions to problems they have been dealing with since the beginning. Intrinsic motivations are those that stem from your sense of the meaning of your life your true north.
