Philippine National Police Academy Cadets who are assigned at BCPO attended a lecture regarding patrol operations by PLTCOL. Domingo Gambican Chief CPPU. The lecture focused on the methods or procedures on how the city police department uses to keep the city safe and orderly. Together, with the other law enforcement officers, they examined and analyzed the operational area in order to determine the most effective operational strategies in order to achieve the objectives of the public safety and the maintenance of peace and order.

The most fundamental police and the foundation of law enforcement is patrol operation. This kind of police station is taken to limit criminal's opportunities and lessen the possibility that people will come victims of crime. Responding to requests for assistance and intervention is also part of it. A patrol operation is a type of law enforcement activity in which officers are stationed on the streets to observe and respond to incidents in a specific area. A patrol operation's goal is to keep the peace, prevent crime, and keep citizens safe.

Patrol operations are a critical aspect of police work, involving the deployment of police officers to patrol specific areas in order to deter and respond to crime, maintain public order, and ensure the safety of citizens. The effective patrol operations require well-trained and equipped officers who can effectively respond to a wide range of incidents and situations. That’s why the conduct of seminar is important.

For police officers, the conduct of seminars play an important role in supporting professional development of police officers to gain valuable knowledge and skills that can enhance careers and open new opportunities for professional growth and advancement. It provides a valuable opportunity to learn more about new techniques, technologies, and best practices regarding law enforcement as well as to be more aware of those latest developments in the field. In addition, the conduct of seminars provides an opportunity for police officers to connect with colleagues from other departments, by sharing ideas and experiences, and building relationships.

Officers typically drive patrol vehicles or walk a beat, stopping to investigate suspicious activity, responding to calls for service, and making arrests as needed. They may also be responsible for directing traffic, providing assistance to citizens in need, and conducting investigations.Patrol operations are a critical component of community policing, as they provide a visible presence of law enforcement in a neighborhood and help to build trust and cooperation between the police and the community. They also serve as the first line of defense against crime, as officers are able to respond quickly to incidents as they occur.

Effective patrol operations require careful planning and coordination, as well as the deployment of adequate resources and personnel. This can include the use of technology, such as patrol car cameras, body-worn cameras, and real-time crime mapping systems, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.

A person's home is where they go to find safety and comfort, but it has the potential to become a place of insecurity and terror. Police officers are in charge of making sure that everyone is safe and serving their community. As a reflection of the public's worries, the municipal council has asked for a response and a solution to the neighborhood burglary problem. In addition to planning and putting into action strategies to address the current situation, the Chief of Police is obliged to have solutions at the ready. Combating and preventing crime has always been a top objective for the police, along with taking offenders including burglars off the streets.

It is a crucial activity that police officers carry out every day, and it matters how an officer manages his or her time and resources to have a successful patrol of his or her beat. Patrol is regarded as the police department's skeleton, according to John S. Dempsey (Dempsey 260). Patrol policemen, to whom he was referring, were further described as "the most visible arm of the criminal justice system as well as the gatekeepers to the system" (Dempsey 260).[2] Police presence is also crucial because it gives people in public spaces and in communities a sense of security. On the other hand, it greatly contributes to crime prevention by letting criminals and lawbreakers know that the police are always on the lookout for them.

As a result, engaging with the public and strengthening the relationship between them and the department is one way to improve the effectiveness of police patrolling. Police officers will create a stronger sense of security within the community by patrolling a beat, parking the police car in the neighborhood, and/or going for a walk (foot patrol). The officer will gain a broader perspective of knowing the community residents in person and learning their stories by walking. A trusting relationship will eventually become stronger. Walking rather than driving makes it easier to approach an officer. Furthermore, patrol officer observations of a neighborhood differ significantly when the officer is on foot patrol versus simply observing from the patrol car.
