"Integrity, insights, and inclusiveness are the three essential qualitiesbof leadership"—Sadhguru[1]

PLT DICK MANTILING, Duty Officer of the Day of the Baguio City Police Office, conducted an inspection of PNPA Cadets and members of the Baguio City Mobile Force Company. This activity, which is a part of the BCPO's best practices, makes sure that all of the organization's offices and units are performing their regular tasks and duties and that everyone is present during the inspection.

As mentioned above, inspection has been part of BCPO's best practices wherein the performance of duties is an important aspect of ensuring that law enforcement officers are carrying out their responsibilities effectively and efficiently. This type of evaluation can help to identify areas for improvement, increase accountability, and promote best practices within the agency. Evaluation is essential for ensuring that the agency is meeting its goals and objectives in providing high-quality service to the public. A law enforcement officer's performance of duties is evaluated on various factors, including:

1. Law enforcement officers are expected to follow their agency's policies and procedures, and their performance is evaluated based on their compliance with these guidelines;

2. Law enforcement officers are expected to have a high level of knowledge and expertise in a wide range of areas. Their performance is evaluated based on their ability to apply this knowledge and expertise in the field;

3. Law enforcement officers are expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness and preparedness, and their performance is evaluated based on their ability to perform and respond to emergency situations;

4. Law enforcement officers are expected to communicate effectively with the public, fellow officers, and their performance is evaluated based on their ability to articulate ideas clearly and to listen actively;

5. Law enforcement officers are expected to make decisions in a wide range of situations, and their performance is evaluated based on their ability to analyze information and make informed decisions;

6. Law enforcement officers are expected to maintain positive relationships with the community, and their performance is evaluated based on their ability to build trust and engage with diverse groups;

7. Law enforcement officers are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and their performance is evaluated based on their ability to maintain ethical standards and avoid conflicts of interest;

Regular evaluations help to identify areas for improvement, promote best practices, and ensure that officers are held accountable for their actions. By conducting regular inspections of the performance of duties, law enforcement agencies can ensure that their officers are providing high-quality service to the community, that they are complying with policies and procedures, enforce the law, and maintain public safety.

The process of evaluating the performance and conduct of law enforcement officers to ensure they are adhering to the standards and expectations set by the police department and the community is referred to as inspection of police personnel. The goal of police personnel inspection is to promote professional conduct, maintain the integrity of the police force, and ensure the public's safety and well-being.

Inspections of police personnel may be carried out by internal affairs departments, independent agencies, or other oversight organizations. The inspection process can involve a review of an officer's work history, performance evaluations, and any complaints or incidents of misconduct. Inspections may also include observations of officers in the field, assessments of their use of force, and evaluations of their interactions with the public.

Effective police personnel inspection requires a thorough and unbiased examination of officers' conduct and performance. It is an important aspect of maintaining law enforcement agencies' accountability and transparency, and it helps to ensure that officers are providing high-quality service to the community while upholding the principles of justice and fair play.

Additionally, it is effective with any complaints made to the ministry regarding a business breaking the law. Inspectors are also permitted to question both employees and employers in front of or without witnesses. It can occasionally be advantageous or detrimental to question employees alone. In other words, if a worker is unhappy with his employer, he can pretend to have broken the law. On the other hand, some companies coerce their employees into lying about unethical behavior on their behalf. Even if it's still a plus, it could show out wrongdoing by the business or the employees. Inspectors also have the right to review and receive copies of any books, records, and other documents that must be retained in accordance with the terms of this Law and any relevant decisions.
